Errol W. Dauenhauer
Madison, Mississippi
Errol Dauenhauer was called home by Jesus on October 2, 2023 at 82 years old.
Errol was born to Oscar and Amelia “Mim” Dauenhauer on April 4, 1941 in Gretna, Louisiana. Errol graduated from Louisiana State University then served our country in the Air Force before beginning a successful music career.
The love of Errol’s life as a child and young adult was music, and he was very talented at his passion. Errol’s band, The Esquires, was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 2000. The hall of fame certificate reads “Great talent, a love for music, a passion for family and friends, and providing us with the best of times”.
In 1973 Errol left his career and love for music for the new love of his life, Judy. Errol and Judy married March 26, 1973 and enjoyed 47 years of a wonderful marriage together until Judy went to be with her Savior on December 8, 2022. Errol was a dedicated and loving husband and father of three boys: Gregg (Debbie), Todd (Toni) and Stacey. Errol also enjoyed eight grandchildren: Taylor, Jarrod, Brendon, Audrey, Evan, Asia, Josh and Stevie.
Errol never completely left his love for music. Errol enjoyed singing in the church choir, for special events and whenever given the opportunity, he would share his God-given talent to praise the name of Jesus. Errol recorded a CD in 2012, Walking with Jesus... Everyday, an inspirational album to share the Gospel with all that listened to it.
Errol joins his mother and father in heaven along with many other loved and missed Christian family members and friends. Errol is survived by his three children, his sister Carolyn “Kip” Fay Dauenhauer, sister-in-law Barbara Kindred and all of the wonderful grandchildren.
