Paul and I were definitely kindred spirits. I so loved singing in choir with him over the years and hated that he wasn't able to continue over the last few years. He was truly a joy to be with.
Plus we shared a love for MSU. I was always thrilled to run into Paul at MSU events. His enthusiasm was infectious!
Paul was a great friend, a great fan, a great church member and choir member, but best of all, a great man who knew what was important in life. And now in heaven he is with Him who makes life bearable while we are here. Paul is in pain no more!

Paul was an outstanding appraiser and will be missed. His words of wisdom and knowledge of our profession have helped many appraisers work through difficult appraisal assignments. Paul gave back to this profession just like he gave back to his family and church. He was so supportive and he will truly be missed. Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

We are so very sorry for your loss. There is no other way to put it than to say ‘Paul was one of the most amazing people - ever!’ His kindness, sincerity, trustworthiness, and calm (happy) demeanor were ever present. But MOST OF ALL, Christ lived through everything Paul represented. Some of the best and most influential days of my adulthood were spent with Paul singing in a quartet. Paul was a great mentor, accountability partner, but mostly a Godly example of how to be a husband, father, friend, and businessman. As many have said before, Paul's voice was incredible - but what stood out even more was his devoted heart to spreading the gospel through song. One of the songs our quartet would sing at the end of most every set was “Will You Love Jesus More” by Phillips, Craig & Dean. Paul lived his life just as the song explains…never wanting the attention to be placed on him but instead, Jesus. “To know that Father’s love, When you see the Lord face to face, You’ll hear Him say ’well done’” Paul - Well done. I am thankful God placed Paul in my life.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you Leesa, Holly, and Josh. Paul had a way of lighting up a room..whether with a smile, a joke, a song, or a MS State phenomenal play. I consider being his friend and worship pastor one of the greatest blessings of my life and ministry. Paul could move me to tears and bring me to worship every time he sang…especially with his favorite Ray Boltz songs. Denise and I promise to journey with each of you in the days ahead. Jesus has a new choir member in heaven who is now standing straight and experiencing no pain. Thank you Jesus for the blessing of serving with, and loving, Paul Hardin.

Leesa, Holly and Josh,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memoirs of Paul at FBC Madison with the choir, men’s ensemble and quartet at church. He had such a wonderful voice and I know he’s now singing in heaven with Jim Derryberry.
You will be in my thought and prayers.
