Robert "Bobby" Sanders, age 88, of Madison MS died January 16, 2024, at his home. He was born June 9, 1935, and was the son of Carlton "Pete' Sanders and Katie Faulkner Sanders. Bobby worked construction earlier in life before putting himself through barber college. He and Ann opened Metro Style Center in 1979 and had 18 stylists on staff. They sold the shop in 1997 and he continued to style hair for many years thereafter. He was an avid quail and deer hunter who deary loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann Freeny Sanders; son, Robbie Sanders (LeeAnn); grandchildren, Lee Sanders (Sloan) and Rachel Sanders (Weston); brothers, Charles Franklin Sanders and Joe Luther Sanders. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Carlton O'Neal Sanders. Visitation will be Saturday January 20, 2024, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 12:00 until 2:00pm. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm in the chapel with interment in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Webster Animal Shelter.
