Lisa Renee’ Cogdill, age 64, of Brandon, passed away December 18,2023. Lisa was born July 6,1959, in St. Joseph, MO. She was the middle daughter of John Henry and Lela Mae Cogdill. She grew up in Stanberry, MO, where she was active in 4-H, enjoyed playing clarinet in the band and was a majorette during her school years. She joined the Army in 1981, where she served as a supply specialist. After this time, she started her family in Kansas City, Mo. Lisa would say the highlight of her life was having and raising her two sons. Lisa was blessed with a contagious laugh and a beautiful singing voice which she enjoyed using to praise God in the church choir and even when she was alone. She loved all kinds of music. Another one of her passions was cooking for others and praying for them. She was a kind and caring person. In the latter years she moved to Brandon, MS, where she became a companion to her mother until she passed away in 2019. Lisa was loved and will be missed dearly. Lisa is survived by her sons, Marques Caper and Samuel Caper; and sisters, Sandra Linebaugh and Jayna Harrison. Her family would like to thank Pleasant Hills Community Living Home and especially her nurse Leelee for the sweet care and comfort Lisa received at the end of her life.
