George Ray Toten Born December 22, 1934 Died November 26, 2023 George Ray Toten, age 88, died November 26, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was born December 22, 1934 and was the son of Roy Elmer Toten and Allie Mae Pugh Toten. George is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 67 years, Mary Maxine Toten; sister, Lilla Mae Pegram; brothers, William Toten, Elmer Toten, Edward Toten, and James Paul Toten. He has four surviving children, Wayne (Linda) Toten, David Harold (Linda) Toten, Sandra Inez Morgan (Weber), and Janae Brown, 11 grandchildren, Eric Toten and James Toten (Stephanie), April Peveto (Bryan), David Toten, Caitlin McDonal (Scott), Lori Doughtery (Brady), Sherri Wolverton, Susan Hudson (Chris), Shelby Pitts (Larry), Brent Bingham and Brandon Billiot, George was blessed with 16 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren spanning 5 generations in his lifetime; and sister, Sarah Hicks. George and Maxine "adopted" many people into their family through the years, making each person feel welcomed and a part of their family, offering love, and a sense of belonging. Visitation is Tuesday evening at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 5-7pm and again Wednesday morning at Parkway Church from 9-11am. The funeral service will be at 11am at Parkway Church and interment will be at 3pm in North Union Cemetery in West, MS.
