Our beloved, Jeana Ann Taylor, passed away on September 1, 2023, at her home. She was 61. Jeana is survived by a host of people whom she loved, and they in return loved her dearly. Survivors include Angie Ryals, Skip Taylor, Rita and Mickey Reynolds, Kris Taylor, Mitchell Reynolds, Gaye and Jimmy Round, Lindsay French, Brett Round, Susan and Bruce Taylor, Jana and Ben Taylor, Mandy and Jody Nichols, and Connor, Sawyer, Reed, and Ben Nichols. Jeana was preceded in death by her parents, Dot and Perry Taylor. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jeana: early morning coffee, a beachfront balcony, a quiet evening with friends over a perfect meal, a snowy day, an adventure in the wild to photograph nature at its best, holidays with family, the love of a cat, singing in the church choir, and dare we leave out a sweet dessert to end, or maybe begin, a meal. Jeana was a perfectionist. She wanted everything done to the best of her ability. Whether she was working, making her home a haven of rest, cooking, or engaging in an act of kindness for a loved one, Jeana put her heart and soul into all her decisions and actions. One of her goals was to complete a half marathon. She accomplished this goal the week of her 50th birthday, and many more races followed this one. Jeana graduated from East Central Community College in her hometown of Decatur, MS. She then completed her degree at The University of Southern Mississippi. Her career spanned over 30 years working at St. Dominic’s Hospital, a place she truly loved. A memorial service will be held at Parkway Hills United Methodist Church at 3:00 on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00.
