From 2013 in Charlottesville, VA for Deborah and Andy Miller's wedding. It was so special that all the Allen siblings could be there. I remember well Aunt Tricia's joy and vibrancy at that family rehearsal dinner. Her joy was always contagious!

Tricia was a warm, generous, welcoming, fun, and funny human being. She knew how to be with every type of person without judgement. When you were with Tricia, you felt comfortable and at home. My memories of her are wrapped up in our family times together: hordes of adults and children descending upon her home, cooking for us, washing our towels every day so they would be fresh, accommodating generously our many peculiarities, finding places for everyone to sleep under one roof, stories being told, a home full of laughter, memories being made for all our children. In all of this, Tricia was always cool as a cucumber and without a bit of anxiety or impatience. Tricia knew how to love and, thus, was greatly loved by us all.

I am so sorry to read of Ms. Rush’s passing. She was my audiologist for many years and I was so sad when she retired. She was a precious and kind person and the world is a little bit darker without her in it. Sincere thoughts and prayers for your family. -Julie Cox

Tricia was a wonderful and impressive person. I remember meeting her the first time at my Grandmother's House not too long after she had received her CCC for Speech Pathology. She was such an intelligent and genuine individual with a wonderful smile and made my Cousin Sam so happy. I know she will be missed by all who knew her and particularly by Sam, Beth, Tom and Peter. I am holding the entire family in my prayers. My sincere condolences.

I grew up in the little white house next to the house where the Allen family lived where they were in Philadelpbia. I was so excited to learn that the new neighbors had a daughter my age! We became good friends and spent many hours riding our bikes with another close neighbor, Gayle Rogers. Spend the night parties, football in their
back yard, and rainy summer afternoons spent playing on their
wrap-around porch--oh, the
memories! Rest in peace, my friend.

May God comfort the family and friends who loved Trish and whom she loved dearly. I fist met Trish in 1985 when she served as an examiner for the hearing aid dealers licensure which we audiologists were required to obtained. Fresh out of grad school I was a nervous wreck and she calmly encouraged me and put me at ease. Throughout my career I have had opportunity to enjoy her wisdom and friendship as well as her laughter and delightful spirit! My fondest memories of Trish are the trips to New Orleans for continuing education purposes which enabled us to partake of some awesome Cajun food. She has been dearly missed over the past few years while on the difficult journey with her illness. Definitely loved Trish and miss her delightful vivacious spirit!

I worked with Tricia for several years at UMMC when my children were young and I was often stressed and anxious. She was so kind and became a trusted friend/mentor to me. I learned so much about treating voice disorders from her, but even more about life. She was also funny and fun to be around. She loved Sam so much and when I finally got to meet him I knew why immediately. I am holding Sam and all the family in my heart now.
