Bill “Top Drawer” Leech. An amazing fella and gentleman. We coached Chi O football together at Millsaps. We had quite a time! Bill was the brilliant offensive coordinator. I was the clueless defensive coordinator. We had way too much fun! Bill had such a great sense of humor. Loved picking on my future wife, Martha! I can still his hearty laugh! He had a love for Jesus and life.
In the past year Bill contacted me out of the blue. We spoke on the phone some but mainly sent each other horrible FB memes and videos (our sense of humor ran in the same orbit). Talked a little politics but a good bit about his life. And especially his love for and pride in his children! I never had the privilege of meeting you but your Dad loved you dearly. We tried to convince him to stay with us on his way to NC. The visit was in the planning stages. I look forward to re-acquainting in Glory. Knowing Bill was an honor and privilege. We will not be able to come to his service. Please know that we are praying for comfort, sharing fun and warm memories of you Dad and a great celebration of his life. Oh how so many will miss him. Don and Martha Nadler Hall.

I first came to know Billy (as we called him) at Peeples Jt. High; the description of him in the obituary is keenly accurate, in that Billy was your good friend very soon after you first met him. I was privileged to continue and deepen our friendship during our high school years at Jim Hill and Wingfield, and even during our college and career years when distance kept us from seeing each other very often it only took a few moments together at reunions or other gatherings to return to "the good old days." "Mr. President" (as some of us called Billy) was someone all of us wanted to be more like; his passing leaves a hole among us that no one else can fill. I pray that all of us who were Billy's family or friends will take comfort in knowing that fellow believers will see him again, undoubtedly talking non-stop as he meets, greets and escorts others into our heavenly home with that trademark big smile of his. I am thankful for having been his friend.
