Obituary of Bobbie Stokes
Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bobbie Marie Hankins Stokes was born July 1, 1939 in Smith County. She left this world and went to her heavenly home to be with God and the angels. Although we are deeply saddened by the loss of Bobbie, we know that heaven is greatly improved by her presence.
Mrs. Stokes graduated from Raleigh High School. She worked for AT&T until 1994 when she retired after 36 years of service. She was an active member of the Pioneers Group at AT&T. She was passionate about her cooking as her Thanksgiving Dressing was enjoyed by all. She enjoyed pop culture as evidenced by her passion for Elvis Presley. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Billy Stokes; daughters, Terri (Jeff) Livingston and Kim Stokes; sister, Sue Kelley; and grandchildren, Ross (Stephanie) Livingston and Anna Laura (Sam) Osborne. Mrs. Stokes is preceded in death by her parents Clomie and Arlean Hankins; siblings, Fay Wilkins, Polly Beaty, Bo Hankins and C.W. Hankins.
A visitation celebrating her life will commence at 1 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home (759 Hwy 51, Madison, MS 39110) with an interment to follow in the cemetery.
