Mary Earlene Griffith, 86, was born April 21, 1936 to G.P. and Era Brown. She went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital. Earlene grew up in a loving home in Simpson County where she was nurtured by the dear people of New Hope Baptist Church. She graduated from Magee High School. She raised her family in Jackson, Mississippi and was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She later joined Trace Ridge Baptist church and as a Senior Citizen, was a faithful member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a member of Ms. Nann’s Sunday School class and was an encourager to everyone. Her favorite pastimes were visiting her friends and family and reading, especially her Bible. Earlene especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful wit and loved good conversation. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Grace Brown Fulcher and George Brown, brother-in-law, Gilbert Fulcher, son-in-law, Glen Lehner; and daughter-in-law Susie Griffith. She is survived by her children: Vicki Griffith Williams (Marvin), Herbert Griffith, Cindy Griffith Jones (Bebo), Steve Griffith, Tracey Griffith Williams (Dixon); grandchildren, Valerie Lehner Walker (Chris), Phillip Lehner (Hannah), John Lehner (Judy), Jessica Camp (Cody), Logan Griffith (Vina), Daniel White (Camille), Joshua White, Hannah Arnold (her favorite according to Hannah); great-grandchildren, James Walker, George Walker, Chloe Walker, Linus Lehner, Louisa Lehner, Abigail Lehner, Aiden Lehner, Wyatt Lehner, Owen Lehner, Isabel Lehner, Wolfgang White, and Lucy Griffith. She will be missed by all who knew her.
