Obituary of Marshal Warwick

Marshal Lane Warwick, 85 passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at his home.
Marshal was born in Leake County, MS on July 23, 1937, to William B. and Eva D. Warwick. He was a graduate of Edinburg High School and attended East Central Junior College. He also served in the Air National Guard.
He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and was active in the Prison Ministry for almost 20 years. He also attended Old Rice Road Baptist Church for a short time.
He was employed with Mississippi Products and with Wickes before becoming part owner of Sunbelt Forest Products, from which he retired in 1995. He wasn’t content with retirement, so he started his painting business, which lasted almost 20 years.
He was very involved with bluegrass music. He was a wonderful songwriter and has had approximately 25 songs recorded by various bluegrass artists. He taught himself to play the guitar at a young age and truly loved to go to bluegrass festivals and especially enjoyed the jamming and the fellowship with the other pickers.
Marshal was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Billy Wayne Warwick. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Denise; four daughters, Lee Ann Livingston (Greg), Lesley Deddens (Johnny), Amy Wells (Dan) and Kim Foster (Waye); grandchildren, Logan Traylor (Nick), Garrett Livingston, Gunner Livingston, Jack Deddens, Lane Deddens, Joseph Wells, Lexi Wells, George Foster and Boggan Foster, and his mother-in-law, Louella McElroy.
Visitation will be Thursday October 27, 2022 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 10:00am until 11:00 with the funeral service at 11:00. Interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
