Louetta VanCleve Huffman, 89, of Madison, passed away on December 26, 2017 at her Sunnybrook Estates residence in Madison, MS.
Mrs. Huffman was born on March 17, 1928 to Bernice and Eula VanCleve in Spottsville, Kentucky. She was married for more than 59 years to Hartwell Franklin Huffman, who passed away in December 2011. During their marriage, they lived in Nashville, TN for 24 years, as well as, over 26 years in Homestead, Florida. Mrs. Huffman has been a Madison resident for the past four years, with her last year and a half being at Sunnybrook Estates.
Louetta was a fabulous wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and enjoyed nothing more than cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She was self taught on the computer and even had her own engraved “Grandma’s iPad”. She enjoyed selling Avon for many years and could sew beautifully in her younger years. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia L. Stingone (Nick) of Miami, FL, Trish McDaniel (Bob) of Madison, MS and Lisa Stevens (Jeff) of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Heather Ritchie (Patrick), Daniel Webster and Rebecca Webster; and her great granddaughter, Cadence Ritchie, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Louetta was deeply loved by her family and will be missed tremendously.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernice VanCleve, mother, Eula Haynes VanCleve, sisters, Anna Utley, Cecile Beliles, and Lottie May VanCleve, brothers, John VanCleve, Tommy VanCleve, Durwood VanCleve and Carl VanCleve.
A memorial gathering will be offered to family and friends on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, MS.
