Henry James Simmons, Jr. of Madison passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the age of 74. Formerly of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved husband of Marsha D. Simmons, father of Christopher Simmons, Kelly Simmons, Kareem Coles and stepfather of Crystal Mayo and Rebecca Perdue.
The son of the late Henry Simmons and Dolores (Marshall) Simmons. He is survived by his sister Barbara (Simmons) Hill, brother Cory Lewis and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Family and friends will be received Monday, April 11 from 5 -7 p.m. at the Natchez Trace Funeral Home, 759 Highway 51 Madison, MS. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at South Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 165 E. Dinkins Street, Canton, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations go to South Liberty Missionary Baptist Church’s Education Fund.
