Willa Joy McKinley Love
Ridgeland, MS
She was born Willa Joy White on November 16th, 1933 in Glen, Mississippi to J.D. and Mildred White. She passed away September 18th, 2020.
Joy lived in Mississippi her entire life, and was the epitome of the southern lady. She was blessed to have two great loves. Our Dad, Bill McKinley, who passed away 37 years ago, and Billy Love, who she was married to for 28 years. She was easy to love. She loved fiercely and generously. Books and reading were her passion. In every home she built giant book cases for all her books.
We will miss her sweetness and her laugh.
“People you love never die. They don’t die. Not completely. They live in your mind, the way they always lived inside you. You keep their light alive. If you remember them well enough, they can still guide you, like the shine of long-extinguished stars could guide ships in unfamiliar waters. If you stop mourning them, and start listening to them, they still have the power to change your life. They can, in short, be salvation.”
Excerpt From "How to Stop Time"
By Matt Haig
John 14: 1-3
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you? My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
