Barbara King Stamps, 87, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020, at her home. She was born on March 10, 1932, in Copperhill, TN, to the late John King and Gladys Brown King. Mrs. Stamps was a graduate of Chattanooga High School, class of 1950. She was a longtime resident of Lookout Mountain, TN., where she was a member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Stamps was employed for many years with Beasley Distributing , and retired from Holiday Inn. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. “Buck” Stamps, and sister Judith King Robertson. Survivors include her daughter Michele Risler (Tim), son Grant Stamps (Deborah), brother John King (Linda), grandchildren Jackie Stayton (Chris) , Cody Ward (Robert), Alisha Muirhead (Wayne) all of Mississippi; and Ashley McCombs(Jason) of Austin, TX. Great grandchildren Emma Grace, Camden, Clark, Dylan, Logan, Hayden, Dylan B. and Jayden. Sister-in-law Jackie S. Bennett of Heflin, AL and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved dog Bentley. Funeral will be Friday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m.at the Chapel of the Cross, 674 Mannsdale Rd. Madison, MS 39110. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapel of the Cross.
