Thomas Davis, of Nashville, TN was called home to be with the Lord on December 09, 2018 at the age of 27. A visitation honoring Thomas will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5-7P.M. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home located at 759 Hwy 51, Madison, MS. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM. On December 14, 2018 at Fondren Church located at 3327 Old Canton Rd, Jackson, MS 39216.
Thomas was born on September 11, 1991 to Mrs. Robin McLaurine Davis & Mr. Hugh L “Dave” Davis III in Flowood, MS. A native of Jackson, he graduated from Jackson Preparatory School, and the University of Mississippi. He worked in Nashville as a specialist in the investments industry for the last two years.
Thomas was a beloved son, brother, friend, and player. He was a man that felt all his emotions very deeply – whether it was love, anger, empathy, passion, or excitement. He looked up to his parents, brothers, coaches and friends, and he took great joy in spending time with them. He demonstrated a rare loyalty, and he was always there for his people when they needed him. Thomas was a fierce competitor that gave his all, both in sports and in his work. He was intellectually curious and loved learning about economics, finance, and politics. He also loved his beautiful golden retriever, Nala, to his core.
He is preceded in passing by his grandparents, Bonnie B. McLaurine, and Hugh L Davis Jr.
He is survived by his loving parents, Dave & Robin Davis of Jackson, MS., two brothers, David & Layton Davis of Jackson, MS., two aunts, Bonnie Wilborn of Atlanta, GA., Melissa Anne Davis McEachin and her husband John D. Jr. of Franklin, TN, and grandparents, Luke L. McLaurine of Memphis, TN, and Joyce C. Davis of Franklin, TN.
David & Layton would like to encourage Thomas’ friends to meet them at The Apothecary at Brent’s Drugs in Fondren any time after 5PM on Friday evening.
Additionally, in lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you donate to a ministry of your choice or consider donating to establish a "Thomas Davis Memorial Fund". A GoFundMe page (found at gf.me/u/n986as) has been set up to collect funds and provide updates on the distribution to beneficiaries.
