John Reed Suedel 85, of Ridgeland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2018. A visitation honoring Mr. John will be held on Saturday, Dec 08, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 A.M. at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 A.M. following visitation at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 4000 W Tidewater Ln, Madison, MS 39110.
John was born September 23, 1933 in Wood River, Illinois to the late Reed & Lucille Suedel. He grew up in Wood River where he attended and graduated from Wood River High School. He went on to University of Illinois where he received a Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture. He went on to be a very successful Architect for many years until retiring. John was a U.S. Army Vet as well as a devoted Catholic. He was a Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council 9543 for many years. Most of all John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Reed A. Suedel & Lucille O. Suedel., two sisters, Aline J. Dabbs, and Edith Groppel Harmon.
John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Dolores C. Suedel of Ridgeland, MS., One son, Burton Craig Suedel and his wife Kathleen Suedel of Clinton, MS., two daughters, Carolyn Nanette Davis and her husband Charles G. of Tomball, TX and Diana Kay Suedel and her husband Mike of Butler, WI., three grandchildren, John C.F. Suedel of Spring, TX., Aiden M. Armstrong and Catherine Armstrong of Butler, WI., two nephews, James & William Groppel, and one niece Rebecca Groppel, all of Illinois.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 9543 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 4000 W Tidewater Ln, Madison, MS 39110.
Rev. Albeenreddy Vatti will officiate the service.
