Obituary of Wayne Scott
Mr. Wayne Scott, 87, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with services to follow in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Connor Alford and Brother Scott Carter will officiate.
He was born in Manila Arkansas, on May 10, 1931, to Jewell Duncan Scott and Anne Gialenes. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for over 25 years at which time he retired. He then went to work for Southern Tire Mart in Richland for close to 20 years before again retiring. Once he finally settled into being completely retired, he donated his time by working several days a week at MadCAAP in Canton. He attended McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 66 years, Natalene; daughters, Sonjia Fowler, Cathy (Jef) Freeman, and Kim (James) Thompson; grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie) Fowler, Michael (Jessica McFerrin) Hanly, Alexis (Timothy) Boutwell, Brooke (Justin Ivey) Stanley, and Morgan Thompson; great grandchildren, Bryce, Peyton, Dalton, Myles, Hadley and Hayven; brother, Glen “Chico” Scott; sister, Janath Ann Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a sister, Linda Champion.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Hospice Ministries as well as Lexus Robinson and Kerra McDougle from Assisting Angels for their love and care given to Mr. Scott.
