Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

To the Wylie family:
My condolences on your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dwight many years ago when he served as the Air Director for Mississippi. He was a thoughtful professional and a good listener.
May he rest in peace.

Ruth, I am so very sorry to hear of Dwight’s passing especially at such a young age! I think you were my first new friend at MS State (Cresswell Freshman Dormitory “next-door neighbors”). Great memories! Glad I got to work with Dwight at MDEQ! Love and peace to you, Ga

Dwight was the Head of Air Division when I joined MDEQ. He was very intelligent and brilliant and I learnt a lot from him. I enjoyed working in the Air Division. He had great vision. When he left the agency, he told me that I could call him anytime if I needed help. I would call him sometimes and ask his opinion. He was very gracious with his time and helped me. We will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family.

On behalf of my wife and the many past and current air pollution control agency directors in the Southeast, I express our sympathies to Dwight's family. He was a great guy, a great colleague, and has left great memories in my mind. God bless each of you in this time of loss and sorrow. John Hornback. Former director of Kentucky Division for Air Quality and current executive director of Metro 4/SESARM.

I will remember Dwight as a leader of a great group of men and women at the MDEQ - Air Division. It was a great place to work. I worked under his leadership for about 7 years in the early to mid 1990's as a new engineer where he led us through several years of significant growth in the Air Division with new and complex air regulations. He made an impact on all of us that worked with him, and he will surely be missed.
I know he loved his wife and daughters, and my condolences go out to them.
