Loverd Gray Jr, 63 of Madison, MS was called home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2018. A visitation honoring Mr. Gray will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Parkway Pentecostal Church. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow immediately at 11:00 A.M., Thursday at Parkway Pentecostal Church located at 601 Reunion Pkwy, Madison, MS 39110.
Dan was born on October 01, 1954 to Mr. Loverd Truman Gray Sr. & Marjorie Joe Allen Gray in Vicksburg, MS., He grew up in Raymond, MS where he attended and graduated high school. After high school he went on to join the United States Armed Forces until being honorably discharged. He went on to begin his adult career in the pipeline industry as a heavy equipment operator. Working for the pipeline had its ups and downs yet one of the positives was being able to travel all over America to different work sites. Which his wife Elaine was able to go many times on these jobs, and they got spend a lot of one on one time traveling from state to state to the next job. Precious moments in history that Elaine and the rest of the family will treasure forever. Dan was a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone in need. He loved his children with all his heart and his one special granddaughter Madison will always have a special place in his heart. In his spare time, he loved to fish when he was able. He had always envisioned on getting an RV camper placing on the reservoir and retiring where they could always go fishing. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Gray., one sister, Jean Ann Gray., one brother., Jimmy Gray.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Joyce Elaine Barnes Gray of Madison, MS., two sons, David Truman Gray of Las Vegas, NV., Aaron Lewis Gray of Glenmora, LA., one sister Margaret L’s Tene Walker., one brother Amos Jack Gray of Jackson, MS., one special granddaughter, Madison Nicole Gray.
Bro. Cain will officiate the service.
