Obituary of Joyce E. Smith

Joyce E. Smith, 79, of Pearl, passed away on July 20, 2018 at St Dominic's Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born on August 6, 1938 to George and Janie Corbin Bledsoe in Orange County, VA. She moved to Jackson in 1966 and worked for Jitney Jungle as a data entry associate. After retirement she moved to Pearl and spent her time playing cards with her great granddaughter Abigail. She loved her dog Cricket and was a die hard Atlanta Braves fan.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Pamela McIntyre; five granddaughters, Elizabeth Giuffria, Virginia Mapes, Heather Smith, Penny McIntyre and Stephanie Brown; grandson, Michael Lee McIntyre and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lisa Darling.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018, 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, MS followed by a memorial service at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
