I had the privilege to get to know Robert and his sister in High School. Both great people I wish I had more time to spend with them, but after HS I left the area for the military. Remember hanging out at his house, one of the few that had satellite tv in those days. We took out the 454 motor out of his dad’s boat that had not been used in a few years to get the motor running. Always remember him relaxed and sporting a smile. Rest in peace old friend, hope we can hang out in Heaven someday!

Our last time together in person was here in Oregon. Robert and Gena were visiting and we had a wonderful and fun-filled time. Robert was the most relaxed I think I’ve ever seen him. They were both very happy with their choice to move to Mississippi.
Robert was an excellent chef— he seemed to know just how to flavor and cook almost anything!
His sense of humor was subtle and his smile was endearing.our family will miss him very much.

We will never forget you, Gena, and Robert coming to our house for the first time, for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Robert was so quiet, polite and somewhat surprised to be seated at the family table in front of the whole room of friends and guest. We knew he was smart, hardworking, and devoted to you, Gena, and sons, but realized then, that he too, put family first, in his quiet way. We so appreciated that about Robert, as well a your care and love for him.
Now we are sure that Robert is seated at the family table of Jesus Christ, in God's beautiful Heaven.

We loved staying at the farm house in Bend, Oregon with Robert and Gena and the house in Mississippi. Robert made the best frittatas…delicioso!. His pizza was out of this world too.
