Charles Edgar Kealhofer, born May 6, 1952, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, passed away on September 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.G. and Laura Hughes Kealhofer, stepmother, Johnnie Lou Anderson Kealhofer, brother Don Kealhofer; and beloved daughter Lanie Kealhofer. Charles is survived by his daughter Lexie Anderson (Parker); his sons Jacob Kealhofer (Dane) and Samuel Kealhofer (Bethany); and his cherished grandchildren, Gray and Jamie Anderson. Charles excelled in mathematics from an early age and pursued his passion at Mississippi State University, where he majored in computer science. After a successful career as a computer programmer, he shifted paths to explore new experiences and opportunities. A deep appreciation for music also marked his life, as he found joy in playing guitar with his close friend Bill Woodell. His immense optimism and warm companionship were sources of great happiness to those around him. Charles’s memory will be treasured by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, intellect, and optimism will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Madison on Thursday, September 12th at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held before the memorial beginning at 12:00 pm in the chapel of First Baptist Madison.
