Jane was the first person to welcome me to the SS class at First Baptist Madison in 1997. She was so kind and made me feel welcome. Loved her.

Jane loved the Lord, her daily walk with Christ was evident in everything she does. Misionaries on furlough called her house Jane's Hilton, because she opened her house for them to stay at a super competitive price at $0 per furlough.
When I was a student at Hinds Junior College, when the domitory was closed, she would come pick me up and brought me to her home to stay until the dorm reopened. She did that willingly and happily. She taught me tradition, including putting penies in pot liquer during Thanksgiving for luck. In my 40+ years of knowing Jane, I have probably eaten close to 30 Thanksgiving meals at her house until she could no longer do it herself. I enjoyed visiting Jane and had meals with her, she always say "come anytime you want". She was a great company and I loved the conversation we had on variety of things, including the trick she and her twin sister played on William when they were dating. Jane loved her children, she mentioned them often and kept me updated as often as she could. Her steadfast faith in the Lord was amazing, she recite bible verses from memory when she was lonesome and before she went to bed. I will miss this woman of God in my life, she will be forever in my memories.
