Bobbie Jean Myers, 85, passed away on March 29, 2024, in Cleveland TN. She was born on September 11, 1938, to Reverend Edgar and Marie Runnels in Rolling Fork, MS.
Bobbie grew up in Greenville, MS and graduated from St. Joseph High School. While her father was ministering in Spanish Fort, MS, Bobbie met the love of her life Troy Screws and after his return from military duty they were married at the Bailey Avenue Church of God of Prophecy in Jackson, MS. They shortly after started their family and resided in Jackson together for nearly 40 years. Bobbie was a loving deeply devoted Wife, Mother, Nana, and Homemaker. She took pride in dressing sharp from head to toe. She had an eye for decorating, enjoyed baking and having fellowship with others at church and in her home, often hosting family and friends. She learned to play church hymns on the piano by ear, finding her guidance and refuge in this life within close relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. She committed her time as a parent and grandparent living life as an example of the importance in honoring our Lord and Savior.
Bobbie was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Troy, granddaughter, Annaleigh Screws, two nieces Melissa & Wendy, nephew Wayne and her sister Alice Dunn. Through God’s loving care Bobbie was fortunate to have met and married another wonderful man, Fred Myers, Sr. (aka “Papa Fred”). Fred and Bobbie relocated from Jackson to east TN and were married for thirteen years before his passing. Bobbie is survived by her sons Keith Crews (Lori), Ken Crews (Telissa), Scott Crews (Deena), grandchildren Justin Crews (Lauren), Cameron Crews (Katy), Jordan Crews (Rachel), Connor Crews (Dominique), Joshua Crews (Heather), Kaitlyn Crews, twelve great grandchildren, brother-in-law Bob Dunn, sister-in-law Jennie Watson, close cousin-in-law Lovie Bailey, as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation and graveside service in honor of Bobbie will be held at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, MS on Saturday April 6, 2024, with visitation at the funeral home at 2pm and graveside service at 3pm in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
