I met Larry when I came to Siemens-Allis in 1980. While on the training program, I worked with Larry at the Jackson plant for 4 months. During this time, I rode to work with him daily, so we got to know one another very well. I will cherish the time that we spent together discussing common interests such as firefighting, hunting, and fishing. After the training program, I was located in Texas, but I was able to visit Larry over the years, when visits to Jackson became part of the work routine. When Larry and Denise purchased land in the Canton area, I enjoyed the day that Larry & I spent together spreading roofing material that Larry had found in order to pave the drive from the road to the house. Several years later, Larry became interested in bee keeping, and he took great pride in showing me his hives and educating me on the bee keeping process. Larry was one in a million, and I will keep him in my heart for the rest of my days. My condolences to Denise, Carla, and Baine. Take comfort in the fact that Larry touched a lot of lives though out the United States and Germany. All of us shall miss him.

I worked with Larry for many years at Siemens and gained a lot of knowledge before he retired. He was the first beekeeper I ever met and how he loved bees! I've often thought of him through the years especially when I had a large spoonful of honey and cinnamon. Prayers for strength and eventual peace in his passing.
